I have just received a KAV $25 upgrade rebate that was submitted 12/12. So it does take a while, but you can make $25. Old discussion:

Symantec and McAfee are faster with thier rebate.

Why not get MSE?
I have found that these allow me to cash in my rewards or credit card rebates.
