Please someone find a similar deal on a good passive 3D tv and my money will be spent.

2. Black levels tinge blue on this one...recommend the nx720 or hx820
If you want to watch 3D, then you'll need to factor in the cost of buying enough 3D glasses for your family, and whether or not those glasses are comfortable and work well if you wear prescription glasses too. Sony's 3D glasses run about $50 each, including children's glasses. They do not offer clip-ons for those who wear prescription glasses. So for a family of 4, you're looking at having to purchase approximately $200 in 3D glasses. More, if you want to have some extra pairs of 3D glasses handy if friends or family come to visit and they want to watch in 3D as well. Your actual cost with 4-pairs of glasses is really going to be right around $1,100, and could be a lot higher depending upon how many more pairs of 3D glasses at $50 a pop you need to buy. Reviews on Amazon look to be good, but there does seem to be an issue with back light bleed of varying degrees of severity, as well as less than stellar sound. I always take the sound quality thing with a grain of salt though. Remember, the thinner these TV's get, the less they are able to use the body of the television as a speaker box to create more midrange, bass, and depth to the sound. Thinner TV's are just going to give you tinnier sound, hence the big push to external sound bars and surround sound systems.
All this said, if you just want a 2D set, then this looks like a really excellent deal with the added bonus of being able to add on 3D whenever you get the money or the inclination to buy all the 3D glasses that you'll need. For 2D I think it's a damned good deal! However, if you are wanting 3D right out of the box, then I'd suggest looking at the LG 47LM6700 that is including 12 pairs of 3D glasses, including children's glasses and clip-ons, as well as a very nice $300 sound bar with a wireless subwoofer and Bluetooth connectivity for $1379 shipped from Adorama, or $1449 shipped white glove from Amazon. You're getting a lot more TV and accessories for the buck than with this Sony.
If you guy willing to spend a little more try and get the Panasonic TC-L47ET5 [flatpanelshd.com] instead.
