The Hanes in my nearby Target are made in Vietnam with the price of 12.49 for 4. I did not try them so not sure about the thickness.
I have not used Hanes before so hard to say the expectation. About sizing, it is relatively smaller than I expect. It is better to order one size up.
All in all, great deal!
Edit: also, they are very comfortable. Smooth feeling fabric and no itchy parts or tags. I've found my new brand.
