Really? Did you ever work in a darkroom? Even before digital you could crop. Again, it has nothing to do with being a good or bad photographer. If you want to go there, a better photographer does less in post processing because he gets the shot right the first time. Thanks for teaching me about straightening and cropping by the way...

What it mainly boils down to (for me) as far as why I would purchase one over the other -

5Dii - Full Frame, Better ISO performance, Hefty Body.

7D - 8 fps, Multiple Frame Rate in video mode, Dual Digic 4, updated/new AF system, Wireless Flash transmitter built in.

I wasn't ready to pull the trigger this morning when I saw this offer. I really wish I was. Maybe after my Tax Return comes in.

I currently have a 5Di and a 30D and would some day like to replace this set-up with a 5Dii(iii) and a 7D (ii) <--- if it ever comes out.

Stick with the 7D.

digic processors do not help with low light. they only help with speed.
they are processors, not sensors.

Actually they do - the newer Digic processors dramatically reduce noise at high isos, of course large sensors help too: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DIGIC

that's only with version changes, not with multiple in one body

What's the best len to get for this? I mainly use 50mm 1.8 len on my current XT, and other EFS lens, now I can only use the nifty fifty. I want to get a len that can: 1. do portrait of my 1 year old son. 2. not too big and heavy on field trips of the outdoor scenes.
