It seems there is a Sears hose deal every other week these days!

Thanks, been waiting for the 100 ft hose to go on sale.

I bought three of these the last time they were on sale. The hose material does what it says it does, but the brass fittings on either end leak like crazy on all of them. If you buy these hoses, go ahead and stop at Home Depot and pick up some hose repair parts to replace the fittings. Or, just buy a different hose to begin with. On the other hand, if you don't mind fittings that leak like a sieve, then you will enjoy the fact they never kink.

I'll use teflon tape on the threads if I have any leak issues. Hopefully it'll work. Thanks for the heads up.

I wish it was the threads. The fittings are two pieces to allow it to swivel (screw on freely). The leak is in the swivel part. Trust me that no amount of teflon tape is going to do the trick. I am not a hater, and like I said the hose is stout, but leaking hoses are not much good to me. That is just the reality.

One more thing: If you just use an open hose to hang on a reel, turn the water on and let it run, this hose is great. If you use a nozzle or other fixture on the end to regulate the flow, forget it, you will end up holding a sprinkler in your hand.

What does everyone think of this one? last time the 50 ft was on sale, everyone said stay away and buy the rubber/black hose instead

+1 - The reviews are not very good. Even the one that says it's ok mentions how light it is. That's not a good sign in a "heavy duty" hose.

Hmmm. I really need a hose...should I buy this or wait until the rubber hose goes on sale again? Decisions, decisions....

While I don't have one (yet)...I have heard nothing but awesome things about this hose reel. A little pricey, but I hear it's worth every penny.
