for those of you who are interested in getting some of the deals posted here, I just attached a $10 off $50 in-store only coupon. that is going to be better deal than any of the online coupon codes, so print it out and go to the store. make sure they get you the craftsman discount price, and then present the coupon. add fillers or combine your purchases to make $50 and get another $10 off (20%) on top of the discounts.

Just FWIW, while this is a good price on those, these prices are regularly had without the CC- common sale items and this is the common sale price.

The thin profile ratchet set for $40 w/coupon is the killer deal here. Lowest price before was ~$38 online. Good thing about buying in-store is being able to pick out a USA-made set if they have it. Well worth the $40 and tax.

The flex locking wrenches aren't a bad deal either, especially if you can grab the USA sets as well.

Good luck finding those 9-pc full polish wrenches, they were on clearance a long, long time ago for the same $30. I doubt any stores still have those unless there were some new 9-pc sets made with the China wrenches.

I cant seem to get the half off on these? I have a Craftsman Club membership. I log in and check the deals out and the prices do not change in cart.

are you using craftsman.com or sears.com? in your "profile", do you see under the "club" section any mention of craftsman club member?

if you do, when you proceed to check out, you should see a line in red on the right side that says "craftsman club discount" with the discount amount. if not, the system isn't recognizing you are a craftsman member. you can try to contact their tech support and place your order over the phone. or, better yet, print out the in-store coupon and just go to your store with your craftsman membership.

Right now Sears is transitioning to the China-made stuff, so there's a chance that whatever it is could be made in the USA or Made in China depending on what it is. If you want to be sure you get a USA version of the wrenches/ratchets/etc the best bet is to buy in-store.

Beware the impact sockets, most of those sets, and even the individual ones are China-made now, same as the eVolv set. Some stores do still have the USA made dual-marked impact sockets though.

Most of these things are MIC. For that ,they're just average tools for above average price. You will likely get a much better deal at HF, with similar quality tools. Lastly, most of us here are just amateur casual mechanics and DYIers, and it is hard to use a metal tool to an extent that you would need a warranty claim.
