- The Mirage Nanosat 5.1 consists of five satellites which serve as front, center and surround channels, and a subwoofer. Each satellite boasts a powerful 2.75-inch titanium deposit polypropylene cone woofer for amazing bass performance and a 0.75-inch pure titanium hybrid tweeter for warm, rich high frequencies. The 75-watt RMS powered subwoofer with an 8-inch driver blends seamlessly with the satellites while adding a level of low-frequency performance you can hear and feel. The system is magnetically shielded to avoid TV interference.
- Mirage’s Omnipolar technology brings unprecedented performance to a variety of speaker sizes and room positions. edit: mainly, my biggest gripe with these speakers is the center channel. It doesn't sound all that good.

yep. I think people overhyped the quality of these speakers by saying it was ridiculously awesome for it's size, awesome sounding, etc etc. I just didn't want others to feel that way too. They're good little speakers...but can't compare against bigger fuller speakers.
If you can use larger speakers, you can get more performance for the same money. (So really see if you can make that work.) If you can spend more money, you can get more performance.
But for the money, if someone wants small speakers, this is a very good deal. The quality of the sub and the speakers is good. In a smaller space, or as a step up from TV speakers or low quality home theater, they are a significant improvement.
