That is why an AIO isnt always the best option

I have a seperate faxmachine, and 2 scanner/ copiers.
The ink runs out on these quickly because all printers only come with whats called a 'starter' ink cartridge.

I love it when people complain how bad a printer is and how expensive this ink is.They save so much money on ink with what they have set up but then FAIL to tell anyone else what printer they use and where they get their $1 ink.

I'd also like to know. I just did a search on my old printer (Cannon PIXMA mp470) and I can't find any stores that sell generic cartridges for it. Only $20 cannon cartridges.

I posted the name of the printer(s) that uses said ink. MANY Canon printers use 5-ink cartridges. You need the printer FIRST, no? This is a printer thread, NO?

If you don't believe me when I say you can get $1 ink, AND are too lazy to google it yourself (after deciding which priinter works best for you), that's on you. It's not my job to spoonfeed you.

If you dont back up your argument with proof then your simply threadcrapping.

i got this from walgreens when it was on sale and for very little money, it's a good printer... i only print coupons on it, works great.
how much do you guys think these could be resold for if i remove the ink?

Paying $20 for two ink cartridges, with or without a printer, is still overpriced. Therein lies the problem with multi-color cartridges. They carry very little ink, and must be replaced if any color goes out. So printers like this one get expensive REALLY quickly.

I recommend getting any of the Canon printers with independent color cartridges. The cartridges can be replaced cheaply with generics for $1 a cartridge, and recycled at $2 a cartridge at Staples. So ink is essentially less than free.

Only get this model if you never plan to use it.
