I wouldn't worry about buying it off of ebay because it's part of their daily deals. It made FP quite a few times here
Speaking of, looks like they have the Iconia for $179.99 on their site right now.
They aren't the best company, and shipping can be anywhere from a bit slow to over a month, but I've always gotten what I ordered.
I wouldn't worry about the ebay part. A lot of companies are using ebay as a second market to sell their merchandise.
Beware the OTA ICS update that is causing some battery drain issues for some people. I updated to ICS and have not seen that issue though.

When you buy from 1saleday through eBay, you have an intermediary that keeps 1saleday running with eBay and paypal standards. In other words, they do tend to respond quicker through eBay.
i dont know
It will auto-upgrade itself to ICS, even, just by putting it on wifi and clicking to install the update that it auto-downloaded.
The reboot/drain issues with the ICS update can be worked around by installing a (free) app called Wake Lock and setting it to PARTIAL_WAKE_LOCK to prevent the CPU from shutting down when it's in sleep mode. This has surprisingly little effect on the battery. If you want to go the CFW root, a few very bleeding edge kernels seem to solve it, so there's that, or you can just wait for the next official patch and then stop using Wake Lock then.
