Good deal, and great timing. I need to free up some garage space! I can't be sure from the description that a 2 pack means for 2 bikes or just two pulleys. I went to Amazon and found these.

These are great. I currently use them for bikes and also have a kayak suspended from the ceiling. I have one set from this brand and one set from another. The other brand came with a crappy thin rope that comes off the pulleys and is just a PIA. I'm tempted to pick this up, but don't really need it since I still have one that I haven't even mounted yet.

Till these come crashing down on your car because either the rope slips, breaks, or the seat post comes off. I had these (given free) but chose to use 2 rubber coated J hooks in the ceiling instead hanging the bike by the tire.

Great!!! I have been needing something like these to free up garage floor space.

reviews have convinced me that this will not work in my already tight garage. there is no place I can hang these where they wont fall and bounce off a car. will stick with one hook and hang my bikes upside down in the back of the garage between the two cars. not worth the trip to the body shop should an accident occur.

Till these come crashing down on your car because either the screw threads slip (improperly drilled/tapped hole or rotten wood or drywall), or you slip off your makeshift stool trying to reach for your bike and grab onto your bike for dear life, or you forget to put the wheel quick release on properly. I have the same $2 rubber coated J hooks and I hang my bikes on the wall instead (about 6 feet off the ground). Its marginally safer...

True that. I'd rather save the $18 than constantly live in fear of my bike crashing on my new X6 M.

I have had these for a couple years and they work perfectly for me. As long as they are properly installed and the bicycle properly put on it there should be no issues. This is a pretty great price, too!

My garage only has 8ft ceilings so no stool involved, just lift up and done. I suppose if you have 10ft ceilings that could be more of an issue.

Also even if nothing breaks and everthing is properly installed whats stopping your seat post from slipping out? That tiny pressure clamp on your bike? lol.

Like a floor nurse could afford a BMW. Maybe a used 318i w/ some balut stains.

I have 4 of these holding up bikes in my garage... two adult mountain bikes and two 20" kids bikes. They have been up for about 4 years without any issues / slipping. I do have rather high ceilings in my garage, so there is no problem walking under the adult bikes. My neighbor liked them and ordered them, however his garage ceiling is lower and you could hit your head on the bike wheel. Measure your largest bike from the ground to the top of the handle bars. Then add about 4-6". This measurement will give you an idea as to how low your bike will hang at its lowest point from the ceiling.

Also important to note, each lift has quite a bit of extra rope that will need to be mounted and wrapped around a cleat on the wall. In my case, I have 4 extra ropes going in different directions connected to my garage walls.

These lifts are not kid friendly and should be used by adults or adult supervision.

Just my 2 cents, but hope it helps others.

Quick tips, I had these up on my old house and there was a lot of slack leftover on the cables when the bikes were up there so I trimmed the cord and next thing you know I was getting a new rope to replace the one that twas now too short with the bikes released.

Also make sure you have them in a stud when you put them up. I went with aligning it to the nail on the dry wall on the garage, but turns out the builder didn't line it up properly and it eventually fell. GET A STUD FINDER!
