REI is doing a closeout on some of their outlet items. One notable item that was fairly popular last year is the stroke 9 pack [rei.com] for $21.93 (originally $45). I picked this pack up and although fairly small, it's great for trail running, or for a smaller frame person for a day hike.

Free shipping for orders over $50. What I did was add the Keen Cabo flip-flops since I only needed $7 more worth of stuff to get free shipping. If I don't like them, then I'll just head to the closest REI store to return Smilie

Also, Amazon's price matched the Keen Cabo flip flops for the Houndstooth style, but only for larger sizes (http://www.amazon.com/Keen-Mens-C...085&sr=8-2)

Remember REI has their 100% Guarantee on clearance as well. They give refunds on everything even if it is on clearance with no time limits. The only thing they don't return is scratch and dent / yard sale items and they make that very clear at those events.

if the item goes on sale, it was probably unwanted/poor quality/unreliable. I would want my rock climbing gear 100% and i'd pay 100% if I had to put my life on it.

actually let me edit that. If its on sale because of color selection, then thats fine. I dont mind climbing in hot pink. easier to find me.

What do folks think about some of the Timbuk2 backpacks? I've owned a couple of Timbuk2 messenger bags (the basic models) and love 'em, but never had a backpack. These look like good deals, but has anyone actually used them? Which one would you recommend?

Suncloud polarized glasses for $28.00. If shipping were free, I'd be on it, got a pair of polarized Sunclouds for around $20 a couple of years ago and they are awesome glasses, have stood up to a massive beating that I put on them from being a clutz.
