Is this better than socom 4? I just bought sc4 from the gamefly deal and it's a pretty good game so far online. I am new to fps gms, would this be good for someone just jumping into these type games?

Have they fixed all the problems with the edges where polygons meet? This (besides the terrible re-spawning issues in multi player) was very distracting while playing... when you move fast things look OK, but when you slowly scan, edges get that shimmering look to them...
Did they fix the respawning issues? My kids loves laughing at how quickly i could die when respawning. According to my son, I set a record (for my couch anyways) of 5 deaths in 15 seconds. Most of that was waiting to respawn.

I love this post. I feel the same way. I only buy from best buy when i think it's a loss leader, and there is no chance i will get anything else. I hate them with a passion... but not so much that i didn't get me MW2 prestige editions with night vision goggles for $15 a pop when they had them before X-mas... and i loved even more that i ordered 3, and only got 2, and they gave me a $40 gift card for my complaining... so for $7 and change i got 2 MW2 prestige editions... The same week i got the Arkham City collectors edition for $35 shipped to my house. So it's untrue that they are good for nothing....

This game is old as hell. The next CoD and BF are just around the corner. Why is $20 such a surprising price for all of you? I buy all my games when they're $20 and it never surprises me because they're usually 8+ months old.

Too bad they ruined the online gameplay for old guys like me that want to jump on and play for 30 mins. Now you play on rented servers run by idiots that kick you if you us the wrong gun or if they don't like you.

In this case, the game is 4-5 months old. So that is surprising.
