its a healthy upgrade (50-80% + better image quality) also you get some new features with Direct X 11. I have a GTX 260 core 216 myself and im going to have to think about getting one of these to hold me over till current gen cards get more reasonable, despite being OC'd already this card can be pushed even further and is a really good value @ 100; there is practically no difference between this and a GTX 560 if you want something more recent to compare it to.
I really wanted a 7850 but this would do well to hold me over till early adopter prices calm down, I just wish the rebate wasnt so big.
ok i just realized its the 192bit version and not the 256 bit version so its not as good,but i'll have to dig up some benchmarks before i make my decision now....Cant believe they call this a GTX 460 without any moniker for the 192 bit difference

The GTX 460 V2 should have performance close to halfway in between the GTX 460 768MB and GTX 460 1GB--product specs make this clear when you see that all three have the same core configuration while the memory bandwidth (a product of bus width, memory speed, and probably some other stuff) is increased between each version (768MB<V2<1GB). The V2's default core clock is higher than the other two, although I don't know if this is just because it utilizes the enormous overclocking headroom of the stock original GTX 460's. I cannot attest for this card's overclocking performance, but the 768MB I overclocked had over a 25% fps bump in Just Cause 2.
Keep in mind that if you plan on doing SLI, you need two (or three) identical GTX 460's. So don't mix any of these 4 versions up.
The GTX 460 SE is markedly worse than any of the others as many of it's CUDA cores are disabled.
