Steam PC Digital Download Games: Batman Arkham Asylum GOTY Edition $7, Batman Arkham City $15, Batman Arkham Bundle $30 (expired)

Really nice price on Arkham City, but you just know it's going to hit $10 or less during the Summer Sale in two months. I'm in no rush to play it so I can wait until then, but if you want it now, I believe this is the best deal yet.

Just finished all the side missions in Arkham City this week. Such a cool game.
Debating whether to activate my Catwoman code or just sell the game with the unused code...

Its nearly a 20 hour game for those $15 but should I wait for the GoTY edition (if its coming to PC)? It would cost an additional $10 to get all the DLC...so its $25 for the full experience even if i dont know if Id even use the DLC. I imagine you have to play through the whole thing with Nightwing or Robin. It'll probably be $30 or $40 for GoTY at release though. Hmm. With my backlog...lol...

Yeah, you're right. I'll just wait. I bought the GOTY version of AA so I might as well buy the GOTY version of AC. Thanks.

Is GFWL really all that bad? I always hear negative things about it but am yet to own a game that requires it so don't have any first hand experience.

EDIT: From what I'm reading it sounds like you have to log into Steam and GFWL in order to play the game. Is that correct?

I dont have a problem with it...Warhammer 40k 2 has it (and Space Marine I think) and it jsut auto logs in when I start the game (from steam) and I dont think about it again...

now that I think about it I'm not sure what it does. is it handling the multiplayer functionality or something? I'm not much of a multiplayer type and I only fired Space Marine multiplayer a handful of times and dont recall feeling badly about the experience...actually I kind of enjoyed it (think I might fire it up tonight...)

If anyone can tell me the DLC isnt work worrying about Ill just go ahead and buy it. The game is big enough to justify the purchase.

Catwoman DLC I personally thought was a decent amount of content as well as the riddler trophies, which you need if you are shooting for 100%. But if that doesn't intrigue you, well just sell it, it's worth a lot more with an unused code.

Yep, I too will wait for the GOTY for $7.50 on Steam, the same price I paid for AA GOTY a year or two ago on Steam.

Warhammer 40k Dawn of War 2 and Chaos Rising are GFWL, but they got smart and switched over to Steamworks for Dawn of War 2: Retribution and Space Marine.

GFWL is not bad enough to skip a game over in my opinion, but it's an unnecessary layer of annoyance that does things like locking saves to a specific computer and can be a real pain to update.

yeah agreed, this is a great price...but i will wait it out and hopefully upgrade my computer by the end of the year
