holding out for the 1100 I think it is. the big top dog one... Good deal on this one though
If you like all touch screen that one is better but for most people the One or 900 would be the best as you can find buttons based on knowing where they are so no need to look down at a screen every time you want to click something. You use it enough that you can find most buttons w/o looking down at all on a normal remote. Not so with a full touch screen model.
I can't believe I've got to buy another one of these, but apparently I do. (Hurried wife + lack of awareness = stepped on touch screen that no longer functions.)
Unfortunately, my system is so complex (in my wife's eyes) that I'd be getting a call every day asking how to use the TV without this thing. But I would have prefered to spend the $100 elsewhere...
At least she had the good timing to do this on a day when this deal popped up.

He is right, i bought the 1100 from frys for $70 about a year ago because it was their top of the line model but i only showed it off and used it a handful of times. Mostly because it was more of a hassle to use than anything, it's a cool remote but it sucks having to look down just to change the channel, i feel like i'm using a new remote everytime. So recently i bought the logitech harmony one about a month ago and sold my 1100 and i think that's the best move i've done.
My 15month old threw ours off the table a few days ago & you can't see anything on the screen. Thankfully it was free years ago w/a Bzz campaign. Thank you! Great price!!

this one is way easier to use than the 1100 for the reasons you stated.

I agree with everything you and BSoares said re: the lack of practicality of touch screen remotes, but doesn't the 1100 have physical volume, channel and cursor buttons? So you shouldn't have to look down to accomplish those tasks unless you're trying to punch in a channel number.
Either way, I have the One and love it. Even if the 1100 were the same price, I would still choose the One over it. No physical playback buttons (Play/Pause/RW/FF) make the 1100 a hassle for movie or DVR-assisted television watching.
IMO, not true at all. For the most part, if an electronic device is going to fail, it's most likely going to fail sooner rather than later (by later i'm not talking about 8 years later when all warranties have ended). Personally I purchase a lot of refurbs and have yet to have a problem with any of them and have saved a bundle over the years.

Thanks OP.
EDIT: "90-day Limited Warranty" = fail
