Don't forget the AAA 5%, and to use any Sears ShopYourWay points that may be expiring (they expire every quarter if not used)....oh and another wallet site has 3% cash back.
This still definitely isn't a bad deal if you live somewhere with Sears but no HF!
is it true that i cant just wall into sears with a evolv socket and get it replaced.. i never bought them before..
my recent return experience with sears.. i broken a fiberglass shovel i bought in store using my shopyouway account.. the purchases show up online in the order center.. i broke the shovel digging up a stump.. i went online and select the item hit exchange.

The eVolv and China-made Craftsman are likely the same exact sockets, the only difference being the Craftsman has the easy read markings and you can exhange each socket individually with the warranty, if your store even has individual sockets anymore. It looks like a lot of stores are doing away with stocking any but a few common individual sockets, so the warranty on the eVolv brand might work better, bringing in the whole set to exchange for a new one, which they will likely have.
Impact sockets are designed to be "softer" in order to absorb the force of the impact better, and are thus not well suited for use by hand. They're extremely resilient though, so they're not weaker than chrome sockets - it's just a different formulation of metal to make them more suited to impact use.
Given the few Evolv tools I've used, I'd never touch these things. The full US-made sets go on sale every now and then for $50 a set, and I think they are 12- or 13-piece sets. Alternately, Gray Pneumatic and Genius make great impact sockets that are relatively inexpensive. Not stupid cheap like this Evolv stuff, but they're quality sockets.
