Yes, it is faster than the M4 but barely and not enough to justify the price difference. However, this is a good deal for a Samsung.

If you are stuck on Samsung 830 I recommend waiting ... smart buyers are getting M4/Chronos so Samsung prices should drop more soon.

Yeah. I do wonder how they measure that. Maybe it's a comfort blanket, but especially with newer tech, I want that number as high as possible.

Still, the fact that when you buy Samsung, you are actually getting Samsung, not a hodge podge of other manufacturer's components, that speaks volumes to me. And my wallet.

what is the firmware update process for the Samsung drive. I saw they has an ISO on their site, and intially that made me think, they want you to create a CD to install the latest firmware :scrathh:
