I am building a light gaming PC with these these slickdeals.
This motherboard $15 AR
AMD OEM 2.8GHz triple core $39.99+tax in store@microcenter [microcenter.com]
XFX Radeon 6670 $45 AR at amazon
8 gb DDR3 in 2 sticks $33+tax in store@microcenter [microcenter.com]
CPU cooler that can handle 95w triple core $15 in store@microcenter [microcenter.com]
Cooler Master ATX case $50 AR at newegg
120gb Kingston SSD $90 AR at newegg
Corsair PSU from many front pages $17 AR
Any SATA DVD-RW $20
Tax and stamps $8 = $333 total before Windows
Motherboard does not have SATA 3 (6.0Gbps), USB 3.0, or onboard video. It's ATX, not mATX, and has 4 ram slots.
I hope you plan to game reaaaaly lightly since this system would struggle to play Starcraft II at reasonable settings. If I were you I'd get a black edition Phenom II so you could overclock it since being locked at 2.8Ghz is really going to constrain this system.

If I used AMD I would give this a try. Picked up the ECS H61 for the same price instead.

Used this board in a cheap build a few months ago. The MB works great with no issues. Note that it does not unlock cores, does not have on-board graphics and the SATA speed is only 3 Gb/s. BIOS options are limited but it does function as a cheap general purpose computer. I recommend the board for $15 but at the original price no way.

don't try to use this with 125w+ tdp chips, don't expect much overclocking, and you should be fine.

No HDMI is a dealbreaker. I just missed out on the H61 deal yesterday. I've gone back to Intel for the integrated HD audio and video.

This board does support 125W CPU. No ACC for unlocking cores. Yea, don't overclock, you should be fine.

I can only do 3.08 from 2.8 on my X3 B73. Does the X3 440 stock at 3.0Ghz?

I am sorry the confusion . Yes. it's 3.0 instead of 2.8. It has been running 3.5 for almost a year.

Cheapest Decent CPU for AM3 is like $75 (Athlon II X3 450). TU for the post, but for budget builds, LGA1155 board w/ Celeron G530 (or Pentium G620) is a better buy.

You can get a sempron 145 for $30 or less. It has a good chance of unlocking to a 4800e dual core so imho if you want a super budget build, this mobo + sempron 145 for $45 shipped can't be beat. Plus the other ecs board is oos and wont be back.
