Yes, a good example of an upstart network pushing the envelope. The Old Guard at CBS/NBC/ABC would have looked at you like you had a hole in your head if you had proposed Sopranos to them. Similar to how Fox pushed the envelope on sports broadcasts by showing all kinds of info on the screen constantly even as the game played on. The Big 3 have caught up for the most part on this issue, finally.
