What's the random 4k write speeds on these?

Should I go for the Samsung 32GB for $30 or the PNY $30 for my android phone?

Excellent got the 32GB Class 10 for my preordered Galaxy S3. Went with the 16GB version knowing I could find a good deal on an SD card.

In summary: If running off of the disk, use only SANDISK, Class 2 or 4. (I bought a SanDisk 32 GB Class 4 microSDHC Card from amazon for $20, see here: http://www.amazon.com/SanDisk-Mob...15433011_2).

P.S. If you are using the disk for storage of something like videos, a faster card like any Class 10 seems to be better. If it's just smaller files like music, I don't think it really matters. (Any experts, please correct me if I'm mistaken. Don't wanna give false info.)

For an mp3 player, is it best to have high sequential read/write compared to random read/write? And for a cell phone using Android, what is a good random read/write to have?

I bought the Polaroid PNY 32GB class 10 from Microcenter for $26 when I picked up the Samsung Tab 2. Works very well. I copied videos to the card from my computer (using a card reader) and it writes at close to the 10MB/s spec. Plays 3GB+ 1080p MKV from it silky smooth. Also installed a few games from .apk copied to the card, installed very quickly.

Typically a good random 4k write speed to have is around > 1.5MB/s
