Very good deal on this model. I purchased a similar model about year ago, but it did not have the battery backup which is a nice feature and paid about $175. Use your Discover card, sign up for shop discover and you will get an additional 5% cash back. These are made by Chamberlin which is best opener made.
Missed the Chamberlain WD962KEV Whisper Drive Garage Door Opener with MyQ Technology and Battery Backup[amazon.com] when it was on GoldBox special on Friday for $200 (no tax and free shipping too). Saw this post and appears to be very similar but missing the feature to automatically close door after set period of time. Still looks like a good unit with solid reviews so may pick this up and use my DiscoverCard for the 5% cashback. Thanks OP
That's a sweet deal,Thanks.
They are normally $200 before taxes, with this code and using a sears card (extra $8.25 off) my total is $171.63.
Quick question to all,can I stack codes? I found one for $10.00 anything over $75 ((JUNE10))
I already ordered but just wondering if I could have saved more.
This is a great deal. I had been watching the 1/2hp non battery backup version of this, and this matches the best price i have seen for that lesser model. I can finally replace my 1983 door opener... Hopefully this one last as long

Good Deal. I picked this same model up about 2 years ago and have had it installed for about 8 months. It is very quiet. The wall mounted control is very handy and gives you many different scrolling messages, such as if the power had gone out, sensors blocked, etc. Some reviews had problems with the battery. I have tested mine a few times and it works perfectly. It is not the fastest garage door opener, but it is the quietest I have heard. On battery power it goes about half speed, but really, not a big deal and fast enough.
I did have to buy a couple bucks worth of angle brackets, nuts and bolts for the install to the ceiling, and I modified the mounting bracket to the garage panel, but it was very easy. I had a custom door size was the reason for the modified bracket, a regular install will probably be fine. It can mount very close to the ceiling too, if you have low head room. Also, the initial setup such as up and down positions and force couldn't be easier. It's all push-button on the unit.
No idea why but I bought this like a month ago for around the same price. Didn't know it was such a good deal or I would have posted it but that's beside the point. The thing is I went the route of paying for installation yet when the installer came to my house to install it he told me a bunch of stuff and quoted me 600 something dollars when I already paid Sears $150.

No - Sears does not allow coupon stacking
1983 !!! They don't make them like they used to do they, what was it?
As far as this Craftsman I believe it's a rebranded Chamberlain or Lift master.

I have pre-paid for installation ($129), so hopefully the guy doesn't suddenly try to charge me something different.
