Performance-wise the HP is much much better, even when considering bang for the buck. I actually wish I hadn't picked up my gateway a few weeks ago, since this HP is much better at the same price point. If you've got the money, definitely go with the HP.

3dMark11 shows 525m as 14% better GPU performance.
Now, this laptop will have the APU + GPU with the 6-series GPU, so the HP does score big points there. 15.6" display shouldn't be too tough to play D3 and CS, but Minecraft might be tough from what I've heard.
Can't go wrong for $340.

Also, I'm not familar with AMD processors. Is this comparable to an i3, i5, or i7? Or is it an apples and oranges sort of thing?
