I just checked the page [steampowered.com] on Steam's support page and it doesn't look like you can activate the key on Steam. Not 100% sure though.

I was actually thinking about getting that myself - $6.75 is a pretty good deal, although I don't know if there's much activity in the online scene anymore. Maybe someone who has it already could enlighten us!

Heard bad things about WfC PC port. Stability issues, lack of any patches, framerate issues, etc. I absolutely loved it for Xbox though. I hope Fall of Cybertron PC port is better, I'd prefer to run it on PC.

I don't mind if it doesn't activate in Steam under two conditions
1.) It does not use GFWL.
2.) I am not required to install/use Origin in order to download/play it.

...so with that in mind, I know ME and ME2 are EA games...do they both require Origin? I don't mine using the Gamefly client for the download, as long as I can uninstall it and play it standalone without it afterwards. I'l just manually add it to my Steam library later.

Really? I wasn't aware the PC port wasn't that bad. I'm glad I asked about it first in that case!

I was thinking about buying the game on PS3 last year, but the online community by that point was basically non-existent. I remember playing the demo at a friend's house before it came out in 2012 and absolutely LOVING it. If there still seemed to be even a modicum of online activity, I'd probably grab it on PS3, but it's not worth it to me otherwise IMO.

I have no idea where you got this information from but you're 100% wrong. I had no issues whatsoever and the port is excellent. It's a fantastic game WAY BETTER than the horrible movies which this has nothing to do with thankfully. The original animation voice-actors are in this as well.

Really? I was looking to get it on PC and was poking around forums and reading some negative posts. I didn't research past one afternoon, since I just went for Xbox. Wasn't framerate locked at 30fps? Incomplete patching? No key rebinding? No graphics tweaking?
I would be fine with being wrong, especially with such a great game.

No Origin for ME1 & ME2. Just ME3.

I see Mass Effect 1 is available on Steam, but this version from Gamefly can't activate there?
