I'm sure you noticed but just in case wanted to point out the OP's posting was for ready to eat boxes and this is for an assortment of the pastes that you use to make curry. I haven't tried the OP's posted ready to eat and the reviews made me a bit nervous. On the other hand I can vouch for these curry packets. They make homemade curry quite easy to make. My family's favorite is this:

...and even my 12yr old can make this from start to finish on his own. We like to add a can of coconut milk to it...makes it even yummier. I have this on subscribe and save, we use it quite a bit.

Edit: Got so hungry thinking of all this I had to call and order a huge variety of indian take out.... this thread didn't save me any money butsure hit the spot!

Just a note: The $8.82 is not ready to eat, it's just the ready to cook spice pack which you can use it to cook any meat.

Yeah, don't go mistaking this for the curry paste that Kitchens of India makes, which is actually pretty good.

I hate these indian prepacked foods- they look like crap, they taste like carp, ... because well they are crap (and this is from an indian so I think I have a lot of experience and authority in this area )

I agree. especially don't generally buy the non-frozen ready to eat , as they carry some odd flavour of preservatives used for storage. Even the frozen aren't that good. Any ways the price is n't really great. You can get these kind of packs for a $1 each in your local indian stores, now spread across the country in lot of metro areas.

What is the name of those sugar syrup soaked balls you find at buffets and how do you make them? Does Bombay Garden restaurant taste like authentic indian food, or is it americanized?

I bought this cheap from amazon a couple of years ago and ended up throwing it away, it was gross.
