Kohls has a buy-one-get-one-free deal on Adidas duffel bags in various sizes ranging from $30-$45. Just add two of the same kind of bag to your cart and one of them will show up as being $0.

Check out amazon...if you need a bag for europe, then these are probably good:

larger and they are made using a "Full Wrap of HD Webbing", which means they probably aren't water proof but strong.
But if you just need a gym bag, here is a $15 option and a $10 option (mixed reviews on material/quality):
