Newegg [newegg.com] has SeaSonic M12II 520 Bronze 520W ATX12V v2.3 / EPS 12V v2.91 SLI Ready 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply for $50 after 15% coupon.
Pretty good deal for one of the highest rated 500W (semi)modular power supplies on the market.
In comparison the non modular version, S12II 520, is $70 before coupon. The non modular S12II 430B is also $59.99 before coupon.
You are basically getting 90 more watts and modular connectivity for free (as compared to S12II 430B). Not to mention this power supply does 80 plus bronze efficiency at all loads 0-100%

People think they need 1000 W for their Core i3s.
There's another great deal posted yesterday. NZXT hale82 650w PSU $49.99 AR. Manufactured by seasonic, module, 80plus bronze, reliable rebates.
If you are looking for a quality 500w modular power supply, this is a great deal. I bought one myself before posting.
The M12II has received great praise (editor's choice) and won multiple awards including best overall power supply by bestcovery.
At a depth of just under 160mm it is also one of the more compact units if you're pressed for space, such as in a bitfenix prodigy case, which is where mine is going.
Compare the list of other modular 500w power supplies at newegg (LINK [newegg.com]
None of them are better than the M12II, yet the M12II is the cheapest by far.
By contrast, the recent deals on the PC Cooling 400 Watt Modular Silencer seems to have done much better. I picked up 3 of em' because they were also including a DVD burner, rebate, and a $15 gift card.
I'm always interested in buying well priced PSU's [love to keep no less than 5-10 in stock at all times], but this deal really does not look all that great:
Older technology
Two rails instead of one
Soar
I would've gotten on the silencer deal as well, but it's too large for my case.
It's a single rail design, mislabeled as dual, but it is group regulated.

But I also am smart enough to watch and evaluate buying trends too [something you, with your pea-size brain obviously have no clue about].

You sound like a winner.
Keep watching this thread till you figure out if its worth buying or not!

The main differences are the slightly longer housing and the modular cabling pcb that you can see at the top-left of the picture.

If I wasn't already flush with extra ~500W class PSUs, I'd get this. As it is, I've been slowly reducing the number of PCs in my house. Just assembled a nice ESXi server for my development needs (multiple VMs to play with) and dropped that in the basement.
Not sure why soarwitheagles is bitching about the "price per watt" - some brands are worth spending a bit more. I've built lots of PCs, and you HAVE to start with a quality PSU. Seasonic SCREAMS "quality" - but if you want to risk your components with a cheaper PSU, go ahead... but eventually, you'll be sorry.
The Seasonic M12II is an older design compared to say Seasonic X650/750 series and Corsair Gold models or some of the newer Gold and Platinum PSUs of course. For $50 you'd struggle to find a better modular PSU.
This PSU's internals are identical to the Corsair HX520 which is rated to run at 520W [silentpcreview.com] 24/7 at 45-50*C. Most manufacturers would probably have labelled it as a 600-650W. It's also very quiet and quality wise blows those budget 400-500W MKIII PC Power & Cooling models away. The good PC Power & Cooling models are not the white versions but previous generation or the MKIIs.
This PSU can handle an overclocked HD7970 and a Core i7 no problem, something I can't say for 90% of 500W rated units on the market.
