Some reviews that were negative said the TV broke after a few years and they gave it a one star review. If this TV lasted 2 - 3 years for $300 it is definately worth it and should be given 5 stars just for that.
But yeah, mine died a few days after using it.
Pro: Cheap price.
Con: You get a big headache for everything.

If you are planning to upgrade the sound, be aware that it doesn't have optical audio out.
The TV itself is pretty chunky and the base felt pretty cheap. I was surprised to see that the base does swivel though. I did not have a chance to see the TV in action so I won't talk about the Quality of the panel or audio. I think the reviews here and on newegg speak for that.
I know you have to pay tax at Walmart and lug it home, but it might be the better option if you are opposed to playing email tag with newegg support.
If you do buy the TV I hope you enjoy it!
