I feel like their naming scheme is setting them up for failure. The casual observer will say... Assassins Creed III? Haven't there been like five of them already!?

Maybe it's just me... I don't play this series. I just think that measure of customer confusion may limit the size of this game's audience.

I'd like to jump, but I have a strong feeling that this will be $30 on Black Friday.

It depends on where you live, but for me, there is no sales tax at NE but there would be ~$4 in tax at BB. I assume the $20 is reward zone/house money which is fine if you shop there often. So the choice is $64 less $20 in BB money, or $48 period. I'd rather go with $48, but to each his own.

This is a ridiculous comment. This franchise is one of the highest sellers. This is the 5th installment. The previous two were part of the II line, because it had to do with the same character. 3 different characters in each major title, that's why they did it like that.

So it's really not that hard to understand it. It takes about 5 minutes of reading to figure it out. Out of all Assassin's Creed games, they've sold 38 million total worldwide. Halo games have netted 46.5 million. Limit the size of the audience? You don't think Halo games were confusing for people who didn't play? I mean there's Halo: Reach, Halo 3: ODST, Halo Wars...all in different parts of the timeline, and they weren't released in order.

Agreed. Unless there is some magical bonus included, I'm waiting until it's cheaper and I've cleared some of my backlog.

Don't worry about him. The kids didn't come by the bridge today so he hasn't eaten a meal yet. He'll be cranky for a while (he might even come back and try to howl some more), but as long as we ignore him, his spells won't have any effect on us.

While I love the series I often find the time to beat doesn't justify the price tag. I'll probably rent it opening week, beat it, then buy it on black friday. Good find though, rep.
