i have a bunch of coolermaster fans that i got FAR, but i didn't like them b/c they were so much louder than my stock antec900 fans.

Got the red one a while back, didn't bother to mail in the rebate because I'm lazy and apparently it takes months to get the $5 back. Even so, happy with the fan - use a fan controller (apparently not the NZXT Sentry, though) and both the noise and light will dim to subtle yet effective levels.

If you want your case to just glow f'n blue like Dr. Manhattan, well, this isn't the fan for you and it will be loud while failing to satisfy.*

The Antec TriCool fans, right? I think this fan, the Cooler Master SickleFlow, is much quieter than the TriCool. From my experiences, I also find the SickleFlow to have a better airflow-to-noise ratio. Of course, where and how the fans are mounted play a big role in noise and performance, so we can't forget contexts before judging fans.

Connect these fans to your motherboard's 3pin fan socket and manually adjust the RPM. Connecting these to a 4-pin Molex will result in an initially "quiet" fan (when not screwed in), but the noise will multiply when the fan is placed next or near a grill, etc.
