Are these similar to most defoliators? (ie neutrogena scrub)

Its pretty expensive and it appears to be a revolving brush and brushes your face.
How effective is it?

The strips really do work.. you can see the stuff pulled out from the pores..

While the strips do work okay, I find that occasionally at my haircut (salon?) place, they can do this white paste (looks a bit like caulk or toothpaste) and they just put it on around your nose area with TP for about 15min then pull it off. That works better, but that treatment cost more than the strips. I always wonder what that stuff is.....

I have issues getting the black heads out with these strips.. I can see them but the strips dont do a good job grabbing them. That tool looks cool but $100 is way too much for me.

In for a few. I miss the days of the 15% S&S discount, but I love these suckers. I don't have real blackheads, but they're great for cleaning out sebaceous filaments [yahoo.com] and making pores appear (temporarily) smaller.

I have the Neutrogena version and I think it works very well. I'm sure the Clairsonic works very well. The one with the body brush is interesting, but you dont need to be so gentle on the rest of your body as you do on your face. You can just use a loofa on the rest of your body and follow up with a good moisturizer. The face is the most important part and sensitive part of your body when it comes to skin.
