There are lots of other features, but these are the ones that I could find examples of.

Aren't they by far better deals?
Not that those Panasonics are bad cameras. I'm sure they're fine. It's just a different class. It's like comparing a Honda Civic to a BMW M3. Both are great cars. They're just designed for a different segment with different performance requirements and price points.

P.S. LOL@ people comparing iPhone and their smartphone pictures to an S100.
Comparing a smartphone to this Canon is comical.
Oh. Also, shipping was free for me.
The next new selling pitch of camera is no longer the number of pixels, but how big a sensor it has, albeit RX100's pixels is almost twice as many s100's.

However, with RX100 and P&S size mirrorless are becoming popular now, consumer do have a point, why s100? The answer is, anything less than a s100, iphone is a better choice.
It's really a very good demonstrator of what is possible, but has a limited real world utility.
Keep in mind that a lot of these cameras with 24mm wide are just settling for more barrel distortion than ones with 28mm lenses.
Hopefully we'll see more large sensor compacts come out, but it won't ever be possible to have everything (large sensor, large zoom range, small size).

RX100 is very nich camera that you will never x-shop with S100.
If RX100 would have had 12 MP, it would have been a far better sensor.

What x-shop? does it matter to how you snap a shot? Spent $300 for s100 but leave it in closet all the time to only carry an iphone? That's not a cost effective way of living.
