TWO products per rebate.
Original release of 128GB V200 had serious performance problems that Kingston has fixed with a firmware update. Here is an article [notebookreview.com]that explains the situation and includes a benchmark. Firmware updates can be applied by the end-user. New shipments from the factory have the updated firmware.
8/10: My unit arrived and I can confirm these come with the updated firmware.

Not noted in the specifications above is the use of the JMicron JMF668 controller, and Toshiba 24nm 3KP/E cycle MLC NAND Flash. You may be asking “What’s different? Those are the same components used in the first release”. As it turns out, the issues in the first release SSDNow V200 were firmware related, and not controller or NAND issues.

Actually, the comment above yours correctly states that the new V200 is only different by a firmware patch (which must be done at the factory, I read). It significantly improves the drive. However, from what I could gather, the V+200 are actually the revised firmware versions; the new V200 is actually called the V+200.
It looks like the version on sale is the old version with the poor performance.

I might jump on it at this price if there's a coupon.
IMO we can get the higher end ssds for around $.60 or $.55/ gig and these lower ends for around $.35.
My source is the dramexchange as well as blogs of people who are in the know in regards to the trends and forecasts of nand.
