Depends if you can/can't live with the stuttering issues (known issue with multi GPU setups that don't have enough horsepower, some great articles out there about it) and memory limitations of CFX. If you have two 1GB 4850s I would honestly wait for black friday deals in November. My 4850 actually still serves me well, and I'm sure 2 of them run fine as long as you're not running games in 1920x1080.

If you can hold off, I'd spend that $500 on anything else you need Big Grin

Most rebates are actually quite painless. While you've had a bad experience it seems, that kind of thing does happen, but usually only with specific companies. Rebates as a whole are no problem (yes, I've done plenty.)

Hmmm... Well the price is definitely right if you want to game in full HD. This card is definitely not a gtx580 or a 7870, so it won't last you as long, but it's still a great card. If I were in your position, I'd upgrade since it'd have better base performance with no stuttering. Not to mention it's a great price, buy quick!

I wouldn't bet on it. GTX660 launch price is supposed to be around $300-$350 [wccftech.com]. They are in a completely different class, as performance is supposed to be significantly higher than that of GTX560. Unfortunately, GTX650 is supposed to be slower than GTX560, yet it's expected to sell just below $200. Expect GTX560 to fill the shoes for ~$150 cards for quite some time.

That being said, this generation of video cards from both AMD and Nvidia seems to be on the wrong side of price/performance curve.
