I have the 750gb version of this with the larger SSD cache (8gb) and its been fantastic.

It'll improve boot times and disk access times for anything you use often. So basically, if you're playing game XYZ regularly everytime you use that computer, it'll get cached to the SSD portion. Move along to another game and it'll start caching by the 2nd time you access it. For a laptop, these are a no brainer if you don't have a mSata port or second drive bay.

For what it's worth, I have had this drive in my laptop since February 2012 and can report zero problems. I understand the 750 is a better drive, but at $70 I would happily grab another one of these if I had the need. Performance has been solid, better than the 7200 RPM WD Caviar it replaced, but not as quick as the SSD in my desktop. No complaints here.
