the 90 in the listing description might be iffy , as it's way, way past the deadline to open a dispute with ebay ( I think is 45 days)

it was a honest mistake. The real nightmares are the buyers who, after receiving an item, ship a stone back, claiming that's what you sent, and sadly eBay will almost always side with the buyer when you are small. (yeah I got scammed once by this, as well as ppl who ship different, broken items back)

Got in on this last time around. First unit showed up in semi good packaging. Plugged it in and it made a horrible grinding sound. A replacement was sent. The second unit arrived in a half open box and it was just the player in a bag inside, no factory box or accessories. Plugged in the second unit and it played for 3 minutes and turned off. Tried to turn it back on and it was a no go. The seller sent me a return label and I shipped it all back. I have yet to receive my refund.

Hit and miss I guess.

Got one last month. It was in original box, had both a remote and AV cable with it. It works perfect on both bluray and DVD, and so far (1 month) is standing up fine to near daily use by my preschool age kids. Couldn't ask for more.

now reading this, hope this batch is not the refurbs from the returns of last batch. Hope the one I got can work at least 6 months.

Bought one last time, looked opened (duh), works fine - better than all my others, and people without legitimate reasons need to stop complaining about a $25 blu-ray player - cavier desires with a peanut butter budget.

That's the unfortunate thing about "seller refurbished" - they aren't refurbished. It's called used - it is basically to whatever standard the seller decides to clean/fix it up to. A manufacturer refurb should be clean and 100% working and tested, though there may be cosmetic blemishes depending on the mfr's standards. Basically anything that says seller refurb is buyer beware since they could wipe down the exterior with a dirty rag, power on the unit and see that it does something, and list it as seller refurb... ha! Annoying! Unfortunately eBay never hold sellers accountable for anything - sure you can return the item, but you always lose on return shipping. A seller could ship you a box of rocks and eBay will screw you and make you ship it back to get a refund. When a seller screws you eBay acts like you've got "buyer's remorse".
