Sprint is offering the iPhone 4S for $149.99 with a $100 AMEX gift card on new lines of service. This is a pretty good deal considering that when the next iPhone comes out, the 4S will likely only drop to $99.
Other smartphones also qualify for the $100 AMEX gift card including the Galaxy S III and HTC Evo 4G LTE.

I second the FYI: I wish it was not true, but it is. Take it from a 10 year loyal sprint customer. I am trying to leave due to recent changes.
Yeah for some reason we Sprint customers are uber loyal for NO reason. Sprint service is AWFUL. I cant ever watch a video stream. Its only good if you have Wifi. Otherwise you can check your email and very slowly browse web pages. They have been promising a new tower in my area for 2 years now and are saying LTE will be here soon... Terrible. I pay $45 for unlimited data and more minutes than I need, but its still useless.
^ exactly. and apparently all the new customers get free activation, but us "loyal" members have to pay $36 per phone and trying to get them to make it free is an utter hassle

Edit : Looks like Sprint will unlock only the international GSM part of the phone. Making it useless for domestic GSM sim cards?
I don't know what the situation is, but the slow data speeds are frustrating when you're trying to quickly get directions from Google Maps and takes 5-10 minutes to load a map and navigate around.
Google all the speed issues other people are reporting. I may end up staying with Sprint due to the crappy tier and package data plans Verizon and AT&T are moving to. But I would not leave your standard plan on Verizon or AT&T just yet if I were you.

All young one are buying phone and getting sim card via straighttalk $42 per month (including all tax) for unlimited everything.
iPhone 4s are $420-$600 so time back.. buy that phone and use straighttalk...
