How good is the v200 vs the v+200?

For whatever reason, the Kingston V200 drives are terrible on write speed, compared to others. The Kingston is cheaper, but you definitely get a kick in the pants less power for that price. It almost seems like the V200 is going at SATA 2 speeds even though its marked as SATA 3? I got nothin.

you can, however it is best to do a clean, fresh install of Windows otherwise you will have problems such as a slow machine.

You have to realign the sectors if you're going to clone, then it'll work fine.

I have an older Kingston V100 with jMicron controller on a sata II motherboard and I have to tell you that it is rock solid, at least for me! no BSOD or any issues at all after almost an year now - knock on wood. And yes, i got that "crappy" SSD because the price was close to 0.6$/Gb at the time (AR) and I did not have plans to upgrade to SATA III.

I agree - considering this is a J Micron based drive and the fact that other drives are approaching this price.
