It's just now time where Target puts their Weber kettles on clearance. Right now they are 25% off at my store. You can get new grates there to save a few bucks. In 5 years, they have dropped to 75% off at my local store twice. For $45, I'd take a new silver.

If you do end up ditching your old kettle, either use the lid for an Ugly Drum Smoker, or turn it into pizza oven. Both projects are fun.

how much savings is this regarding the weber q200. can i find this sort of deal every 3-4 months or is this uber rare?

I've been waiting for over a year looking for a Weber deal.
Living in NY didn't help, especially with Amazon.
Funny I was about to pull the trigger earlier today but didn't, and I must thank you so much for it.
Not only is the grill cheaper but also has no tax and no shipping!
I ordered the Kettle 22.5--the one I've been looking for all along. I would have shelled out about 165ish, but this post saved me 30 bucks!
I can finally go back to charcoal--I was getting tired/worried about putting lump wood in my gas grill for a while now.

Last time I ordered from buydig a couple of weeks ago when they had the weber q 220/300 series on sale they ended up cancelling my order due to insufficient stock.

Let's see if it goes through this time.

Debating on the Q200... or should I even bother with propane?

I just picked up a Weber Q200 at Sears in the clearnance section for $59.99+tax. I didn't post here given the YMMV is typically ignored and the poster is bashed, but since there already is a thread on it I figured I would post my past experience. This was about a week or two ago, and they had one left at that rice. I have no idea if it was jus tmy store (in Gladstone, MO) or if other Sears are clearing out this model as well. All that I can say is for $60 it was a steal IMO, all quality, works with the standard propane bottles, has electronic ignition, and to me it looks to be the PERFECT gas grill for camping trips or tailgating. It isn't the model that has the shelves on either side or a stand, but for $60 not too worried about that, I don't need the shelves and figuring out where to set it isn't hard.

So if someone is looking for a Q200 and you have a Sears that is convenient to you, say on the way home from work or whatever, it wouldn't hurt to look. I don't know if all sears have this, but in my sears they have a back corner that is purely for clearance from several departments (Tools, Tool Storage, Outdoors, etc.), which is where I found this. I attached the price tag...

I have a portable charcoal grill and while I prefer charcoal, I do find that waiting for the charcoal to cool before dumping is not always feasible - which means bringing sandwiches when that is the case. More fun to tailgate when you can grill

Was looking for a deal like this until yesterday when I bought the O-Grill 3000, which seems to have comparable reviews, at the Williams Sonoma Outlet in Wrentham MA.

$99.99 - 15% AAA discount = $85 + tax seemed like too good a deal to hold out for a Weber.

I didn't post here because it was definitely YMMV (although my store seemed to have quite a few in stock and no one was looking at them).

The Q200 looks to have a slightly better BTU rating..hope I won't have regrets in not waiting.
