BF2 is my favorite of all the BF line (though the Desert Combat mod for 1942 was amazing). I only stopped playing because there were too many hackers and no more admins to ban them. I'd hope this is not still true, but I doubt it. Even playing BC2 I'm noticing there's a lot more people running aimbots and or wall hacks without getting banned, most likely because the majority of the admins moved on to BF3.

Just FYI, back in 2009 EA released a patch for BF2 that gave everyone access to the two booster packs (Armored Fury and Euro Force) for free, and also threw in a couple extra new maps. Special Forces is a separate expansion and was not part of free content. I don't have any recent experience, but I doubt there's anyone playing the SF maps anymore, since you have to be in a separate login/server screen.

So long story short, you're just as good if you find a copy of just BF2 vanilla, because it would contain 3/4 of this. However, I dunno how easy that is nowadays, and it is only $4, so I'm nitpicking.

Oh yeah. Best. Game. Ever. BF3 is beautiful but this will always be the crown jewel of the series in my opinion. Pairing up with a buddy and sniping with the jet/heli piercing Barrett sniper and camping airstrips was just too fun.

While the deal looks good, Gamefly kept my store credit when buying D2D, they were rude when I asked them to return it. Very unprofessional customer service, so I'll pass. Just my 2 cents.

Great game, but BF3 really made it pointless to go back to the older ones. Unless you want to see how bad BF1942 seems now.
