How does this compare to the monoprice one?

So I bought this keyboard on the Buy.com deal about 2 weeks ago for $70 AR. Any idea what I can do? For an RMA from Buy.com, I have to pay for shipping myself, the box is huge.. It's not gonna be cheap...

This is such a good keyboard. Absolutely worth it! I love mine so much, it's a dream to type on. MX Reds are also fantastic and not that noisy!

What a deal. Big thumbs up for the best mech keyboard I own (k60). Paid $110 for mine on launch day back in december!

Also, corsair rebates have been great. 6 weeks or less turnaround.

I watched the NewEgg video and these things look pretty bad ass! Trying to rationalize.....

What is considered the state of the art/"gold standard" of mechaincal keyboards for gaming?
How about for just general typing?

Also, is there any particular mechanical keyboard that is considered the "value leader"/"bang for the buck leader" for gaming? And for just typing?

As far as switch goes there's no "gold standard" but you have basically Blacks, Blues and Reds. The other type switches are somewhat poorish for gaming. There's a guide here: http://www.overclock.net/t/491752...oard-guide

Generally there's a few brands that command some respect, but I think build quality has been pretty good from the brands I have (Das/Steelseries) - one that comes up a lot is Filco.

Red can be say to be the most critically divided (this keyboard has reds) because they are said to activate under very little pressure. Blacks are probably generally considered the best while people like Blue's because they give a tactile feel (did I press that button or not?).

There's no real value leader, they keyboards are expensive, but the only one I've ever seen on slick deals is the corsair brand which I think is cheepish. My personal advice is to just spend for the keyboard you want and not try to save some bucks here.

My personal favorite has been the Das Keyboard. (blue) I have a Steelseries G6v2 (black) as well that is pretty comfortable to type on but layout is something that seems to vary a lot between these keyboards so you have to watch out as many like to go for the "Large enter" design that typically swaps out the "\" keys.

Owned the K90 for a bit. Absolutely beautiful keyboard. I did return it though because my PC is near the bedroom and the keys were too loud at night.

Something is wrong with the rebates.

I searched for the product (k60) and resulted in a $10 rebate.

K90 or the Razer Black Widow? Prices are roughly the same for me.
