More over is this of value with the price cuts for the 78xx series?

I have two of these in crossfire and with a hyper 212+ in the case, the stock temps are about 50*C and 40*C
I bought a HIS 6870 a year ago, can I crossfire same card but different brand? I should be right?
The reason i ask is that what if my stock 6870 is running at a different clock speed GPU or Ram, would i run into stability issue?
Thanks guys

Make sure you register it AS SOON AS YOU GET IT, as if you don't within a short period of time your warranty reverts to the stock 1yr or something like that.
Usually it has to be original buyer.
It is one of the best GPU's for the price per performance you can get!
