We believe this is a misprint from Amazon. The one reviewer said he purchased it and it did indeed come with a 1080 screen. I took the specifications right off the product page (the part down lower - not the junk from Amazon).

This is a better deal if 1) Amazon doesn't charge sales tax in your state and 2) you don't have a Discover card. Otherwise ordering direct from Lenovo is a better deal AR and after CB

And if you need it faster it's better from Amazon I think. I've heard Lenovo's shipping times leave something to be desired.

Tempting to buy. I'll think about it, because Amazon does have a respectful return policy such that if it's the wrong item, you can return it for a refund (check here [amazon.com] and here [amazon.com]. It has a Blu-Ray writer drive and backlit keys... Something of a laptop like this would go for above $1,000 + taxes. But this deal... $850, no tax. It's a big savings... To buy or not to buy... Thinking...

Every current Y580 model that has 750GB HDD storage is only a HD , NOT FHD,
In Lenovo terminology:
HD is (1366x768)
FHD Full HD is (1920x1080)

Some: 15.6" (396.2mm) HD (1366x768) TFT color, VibrantView (glossy);
LED backlight, 220 nits, 16:9 aspect ratio, 500:1 contrast ratio

Does anyone know if we can add an mSATA ssd to this or would we just have to swap out the regular hdd for an ssd?
