Might pick up some other stuff too.
The "Core Game" is a package of the first four tables (aka the core tables) that were released for Pinball FX 2. These tables are not available to download individually like most other Pinball FX 2 tables. The only way to play them is to purchase the Core Game (or the the free trial for the Core Game). The four tables included are Biolab, Pasha, Rome, and Secrets of the Deep.
Back to the deal discussion... I haven't had a chance to go through the list in detail, but there are at least 5 games I want (Joe Danger, Assault Heroes 1 & 2, Stacking, probably Simpsons, and something else that has slipped my mind).
To me the real point of this was to have the game discussions for each week's deals all in one place, but now I'll just go back to my old way which is to search on "Xbox Live" and read the latest comments in each thread every couple days. I can already get all of the deal info from the CAG master thread in the format I like, and that's what I'll do in the future. It's the user comments about the games that I like to read. I wanted to be able to post "what do people think about game X?" in 1 thread rather than 2-3 threads. (Moot point now... I'd better stop discussing it before someone else gets mad at me derailing this thread.)
I also have regrettably decided to hold off on Simpsons. There are a whole host of Konami ports on Xbox Live that I would love to see them package together in some sort of bundle. X-men is probably the most famous one other than Simpsons. It sure would be nice if they would somehow improve graphics like MS did with Halo. Maybe package 3 or 4 retooled arcade games for $30. They probably wouldn't sell a whole lot, but that would be sweet. I'll pick up the Konami arcade games if they ever hit 200-300.
Though that would certainly be something I would get, I probably should pass, unless this port is still very popular online and/or is more enjoyable overall than the X-Men one.
