When pre-ordering via Newegg, does Newegg charge your credit card immediately, or only once the order ships (Amazon does the latter, which is certainly preferable)?

I'm tempted to pre-order GTA:V with this deal, but don't want to give Newegg $48 for a game that might not be out for another 6 months.

From what I read in the FAQ on software pre-orders it says they DO NOT charge until the game is ready to ship (release date). This was the deciding factor for me in ordering Halo 4...I prefer the Amazon method as well...just wish they would do more promo credits for game pre-orders like they have done in the past (especially since I have Prime now)

But isn't the invoice a promise that said amount is due and more cannot be added to the invoice unless otherwise specified? That doesn't make sense. It's kinda like going into Best Buy, getting your laptop fixed, having an initial invoice for $100, then them adding $10 just because. I understand the new tax for Amazon, but i promised to pay $149.99 for SF Collection, not $162 after tax. I ordered it without tax and I should not be taxed at the time of the transaction.

Lol better pack an extra pair of briefs cause more than likely you'll be living there for about a week to a week+ 1/2 did quite a bit of research and the overall word is that it takes a long time to receive. Newegg had a big issue with mw3 last year and many pre orders weren't received until 2 weeks after release date .

But hey I'm right there with you, the price point is too good to pass up. Was praying this would come back!
