I know I sure do not. I have strong hands and would accidentally hit keys all the time with reds. You really cannot understand how damn sensitive reds are until you try to do work or game with them. Blacks would definitely be more ideal for me, but I'd like a more tactile feel.

This is a high quality mechanical keyboard from an excellent OEM. Other mechanical keyboards (K60, K90) have severe bugs or usability issues. This one is rock solid and you can get it cheap because of the history with the USB port problem. But even if you have the problem (which is supposedly fixed now) that's a 5 minute soldering fix and totally worth the $50 or more in savings. I would bet that these will stop being on sale after a while.

Plus, the speaker is just fantastic. I already got one from a previous sale and it is worth its regular price, let alone free.

from a regular rubber dome keyboard i've noticed a huge difference in typing when i ordered my blue switch rosewill. if you're a pro typer which most people on slickdeals would say they are, then you will like a blue for work. it's like typing on butter. you'll notice a clickety clack when you type for the first week or so, but after you'll get used to it. it's only "loud" because it's loud compared to a regular rubber base keyboard. never had a problem with it. i'm going to buy a red switch for home gaming use.

Mechanical keyboards are sought after for people that spend a lot of time on the computer, either for gaming or typing. Most keyboards people use these days are rubber membrane boards, which in comparison, are cheaply made and don't feel as nice. I've seen people compare it to driving a stick shift vs. an automatic.

This is actually a very good price for a mechanical keyboard, even though this is one of the "cheap" models, it still retails for $110.

meh. Figured this had to be a musical electronic keyboard at this price. Was disappointed to find it was just a PC keyboard.

The speaker that comes with it is actually extremely good. Not as good as a $25 2.1 system but better than most free/ low end 2.0 systems.

Bought the blue one when they had this same deal a few weeks ago. I'm very happy with the purchase. No problems with the USB. Very simple and professional looking design. They keyboard is incredibly fun to type on. The blue switches are very loud so I don't recommend them to anyone who might keep their parents or significant others up while on the computer late at night.


The speakers are also excellent. Can be powered by USB or batteries, and decent quality sound for what it is.

My brother owns the Razer mechanical you linked to first, and I own an RK-9000. He was shocked at the build quality difference after trying the Rosewill. It's a much heavier, more durable keyboard. The Razer isn't bad by any means, but you certainly shouldn't pay more for it than the RK-9000.

I was reading the reviews and even the recent ones in Sept 2012 says that the problems are still there. So I am still on the fence.

I bought the brown switch keyboard some months ago. It's utterly fantastic. It is louder than I expected, getting the brown as a middle-ground for volume/performance. However, compared to my illuminated Logitech, this is a godsend.

My 18 month old son continually ripped the keys off the old keyboard, not possible here and I can disconnect the USB cord so he can't mess with my keyboard if I can't keep him away. I can also type MUCH faster on this. It's amazing. Games with multiple keypresses like Diablo 3 are much more responsive and functional. The quickness and mobility it gives my fingers even helps in twitchier stuff like Battlefield 3. I paid full price, but wish I had this keyboard a long time ago. It's heavy, doesn't slide around, and just has a great feel. Almost like mouthfeel in a good coffee or beer.

I bought this as a treat for myself when a cup of water got spilled in my computer tower and I was forced to build a new one. It's certainly been a treat, but I wish I could have built at my leisure instead of need. Between Slickdeals and Microcenter, I would have saved nearly $300 by now on parts and accessories vs what was promoted at the time and Newegg/Internet pricing.
