It's just my preference. I have black, brown, red, and blue mechanical keyboards. I really hate the clicky sound of the blues, it gets really annoying after a while, not mention annoying to others around you. I really liked the black ones but after a couple hours of gaming my hands to feel a bit tired. For long term use, I would go with either brown or reds. The only thing about reds is, I feel like I make typing mistakes sometimes.

You'll love it. I have a BlackWidow Ultimate and I'm in love. I just need another for work, but decided to go with Browns. I prefer Blues but when I played some audio of the blues to a fellow engineer who I work with, he made it clear it wouldn't be long before it drove him nuts.

If you're going to get blues and don't mind not having a numpad, you should definitely get this deal. Rosewill are known to have issues, as you can see being discussed in that FP thread.

I've been around the mechanical keyboard deals and this Quickfire Rapid is one of the best you can get for your money. Lowest price was 49.99 no tax FS AR but this is a pretty good deal for the time.


The difference between this one and the Rosewill one is that the Rosewill is a full keyboard plus you have a choosing of brown, red or blue switches vs. ten key-less (minus the number pad). A flaw that I hear is the Rosewill has is a weak USB jack; some will fail on you, but a little soldering does the job if that's your thing.

Anyone know of any good Cherry MX black keyboards? I am currently using a Corsair K90 keyboard, and make a lot of typing mistakes, just my finger grazing by activates a switch, requiring a lot of backspaces, which is annoying.... and no I do not have fat fingers.

This or Logitech G110? Mainly for gaming, I would say 80% of the time. Another concern is the loudness. I live in an apartment and I game in the middle of the night. Would you say Cherry Blue will bother my neighbors?

It's pretty loud. I think there are youtube videos with audio on its sound. Do you share a room with someone or are you the only one in the room? if there's nobody else in the room, shoudlnt be a concern. I upgraded to a blue switch (razer blackwidow) from g110... never looking back. I'm an RTS player if that matters.

Thanks for a quick reply. I'm the only one in the room but I rather not upset my neighbors upstairs if its really loud especially in the middle of the night. I watched Youtube videos but I can't really tell how loud exactly from the videos.

So you would prefer this than the G110? I'm an MMO player that don't use macros, weird I know.
