Ah, bonded leather. The latest "same name" scam in marketing just like 100% juice. Yeah, it's 100% juice, mixed with a bunch of other crap. Bonded leather is 100% leather, chewed up and mixed with vinyl and god knows what else. I don't even want to guess what the overall percentage of leather it is, but it has nothing in common with leather but the name. F***ing marketing departments.

That being said, I like my bonded leather recliner. They should not call it leather though, it's fake.

It is not the best leather. Mine isn't falling off as bad as it sounds like it is for you, but I do hit furniture with the chair when I move around and where it has been hit has uncovered just how thin the leather really is. (Pretty thin)

Still enjoying my $5 chair from the Staples deal a while back... Is this one worth the $80 upgrade?

Bonded leather is just vinyl that they throw a few leather "fibers" into the mixture when they are making the vinyl. But be prepared to get a cheap product that will crack.

For the price it is great, chair is very comfortable. I bought one like it at Sam's Club about 4 years ago. Only problem is the left armrest (where I lean quite a bit), the fake leather has cracked a lot, but that is after 4 years of daily use and again, I lean on that side quite a bit. Otherwise, chair very comfy and has held up great.
