I'm not sure if there are any dell gift card promotions going on, but you might be able to get the price lower with shopdiscover  This was FP last month, so I'm hoping it's still a pretty hot deal.

There's a pretty big thread at avforums [avsforum.com] with a lot of discussion on the optimal settings and all that. The overall consensus is that it's a great value.
I love it and think the picture quality is amazing, but I'm also not an expert or anything.
PS: This doesn't look like your standard "black friday [major name brand / generic ] door buster 50i plasma". The bezel is really nice and thin, and the amount of configuration you can do is pretty amazing. It's just a nice looking TV, on or off.
