Just noticed this offer on Amazon while preordering Xcom. Didn't see a post for this, thought I'd pass it along. Sadly, I don't think it comes with the Elrond figure, could be wrong.

I gave this a TU, though I will never, ever pay more than $20 for a Lego game, especially since they hit the bargain bin within the first year.
I remember back when LEGO Batman came out, I went to pick up my order at GameStop, there was a free keychain included and apparently people had been extremely rude to the employees because the only freebie keychains that the store received were Robin ones. The employees said the rude folks thought they were going to get to choose from a variety of keychains. I would have preferred Batman, but Robin was ok - it was free, and still $10 cheaper than the consoles.
after watching the little previews @ http://thelordoftherings.lego.com...s%201.aspx
I want it, it looks fun, how many hours do you think I could get out of it?. I think i'd order it for ps3 since i prefer the controllers more. any comments on get it or not?
went ahead and ordered it for ps3. stoked..
I'm going to wait that long for LOTR even though I have been looking forward to this game since I heard about it back at the beginning of the year.
Edit: Nevermind. There is one, just checked.
I was never really into Legos but I love the Lego games. Even Batman and Indy, and I have never really cared about those characters at all. I just love the games because they are quirky and have a good sense of humor about them. It's nice to take a break every now and then from DudeBro Shootathon 8 to play games like this. Not too difficult, funny, and lots of nods and catering to the fans of the IP.
I have played all of them except Star Wars III, Indy 2, Harry Potter 5-7, and Batman 2 (grabbing that one when it finally dips below $30).
I have to get this at launch because I am hyped about it being a LotR game. Not so sure how I feel about characters actually having VA work done and not speaking gibberish or making noises anymore though. I feel like that added to the charm a bit and will have to wait and see how well they do it (since I haven't been able to play Batman 2 yet to see how well it was implemented).
Thanks, I got for the PC.
(That reminds me, they didn't make a LEGO Harry Potter 1-4 for 3DS because that platform wasn't released yet. I'm hoping that a Complete Saga can be released so that there is a good 3DS version.
What's funny is that LEGO Batman on DS is an overall better solid experience than LEGO Batman 2 on 3DS. Whoever designed and programmed LEGO Batman for DS was a real genius with portable game time and play. LEGO Batman 2 on 3DS is pretty awesome, but is less satisfying. One pro: only 2 minutes of vehicle play.)

TU for post. Can't decide whether to wait a few months for and buy it on the cheap or buy it now! It would make the Hobbit premiere party even better.

currently i have a preorder from gamestop and amazon. Trying to confirm if amazon if giving out Elrond so i can cancel my gamestop order....
Anyone have any ideas. My boys (7 & 9) haven't seen the movies, but they love Lego Video games and have several others (Batman, Inidana Jones, etc.).
Any idea if this would be OK?
