The CMH-LAS route I have been looking at costs MORE 40% off than it did before the sale.

It's way crappier in winter in Seattle because they days aren't just shorter, they are significantly shorter because of the thick prevalent low cloud cover. I was born in SF and even though the days are shorter, it's much better than Seattle. The sun may set at 5pm in Seattle, but it may as well be 3pm because any sunlight becomes dim because of the thick clouds.
